Assistant Chief Derek G. Stroud joined the French Lick Police Department in July of 1999 as a patrolman. Officer Stroud is a 1993 graduate of Paoli High School and attended Vincennes University in the law enforcement program. Office Stroud is a 2000 graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Along with his duties as Assistant Chief he is the departments canine officer.
