The French Lick Police Department has been in existence since 1857, the same year the Town of French Lick was formed.The French Lick Police Department has sworn Police Officers to serve a population of 1,920 people.The department serves the community with 24 hour patrol.The department has a K-9 Drug detection dog which is used by Assistant Chief Stroud.Officers are dispatched by the Orange County Sheriffs Department via radio communicaton.
